VERY IMPORTANT

Guys,

Make sure when you set up your blogs that you do not show the Christmas At Mom's blog in your profile. You need to go into your profile settings and edit it so that the Christmas Blog does not show up in your profile.

Let me know if you need we to help you fix this.

Kat & Scott's Plans

Okay, this is what our plans are:

We will be taking Wednesday, Dec 22-Monday, Dec 27 off. We'd like to stay longer, but I don't have much vacation time left, and I'm sure you guys will want some "alone time" with Mom - I can come home any time I want (nyah!).

We will be available to house anyone who arrives in Boston before or after that time. Tom and Angie (and Gizmo?), we will plan on you guys staying with us before we pick up Amy and Neil (and Heather). Amy and Neil (and Heather), we'll scoop you up at Logan and bring you to Mom's, and then you guys can stay with us when you return to Boston (in all likleyhood, I will return to Mom's that weekend to bring you back to Boston anyway) to see your friends and I will also provide transportation back to Logan.

Dan and Nancy, as soon as you guys know what your plans are, let me know, I'm sure we will be able to help with housing and/or transportation.

As far as housing arrangements in Maine, Scott and I are planning to get a hotel room in Augusta. I have been looking at prices, the cheapest we can find right now averages about $50 per night. Scott and I have no problem with a motel 6 type of arrangement, as we will be spending the bulk of the time visiting. If anyone else needs reservations, I can help out with that (finding prices, etc.) I am assuming we will all want to stay at the same hotel. Ideally, we should all stay at Mom's but I know she doesn't have the room. Plus, I think she'd have a nervous breakdown! Also, us being in town will help when groceries are needed - we can make daily deliveries!

Okay, I think I have yammered on long enough. I am just so excited, and I know Mom is gonna be thrilled!

getting home

Okay, in case Amy hasn't told you, I thought I'd give the details for our flight so that we can all start making plans. We will be flying out of Denver late on the 22nd, and landing in Boston about 5:30 thursday morning (23rd). We fly back out of Boston at 7:20pm on Sunday Jan 2nd. (Praying we don't get snowed in.)
I would like to come back down to Boston on Saturday, as I have a couple of friends who live in the area I'd like to see. One lives across the street from the Old North Church, the other is a student at Boston College (if I remember right, I know she's in Boston).
I know there is some discussion about picking us up at the airport and caravaning up to Mom's. So we need to hammer out some details on that I guess.

Later,

Neil

Testing, testing

This is only a test, if this was a real post I'd actually have something to say.
By the way, Amy and I have our tickets.

Welcome!

It's time to put up or shut up! Our mission - to congregate at Mom's house for Christmas. This will be the first time Mom will have all her children at her home for Christmas in 20 years. This website will be used to share and compile information in getting everyone there, and then, we will show Mom the site after we all arrive so she can see how it all came together.

I'll post info as I get it, either via e-mail, or if you want, you can just put something in the comments and I'll transfer it into a post.

Wheee!
